We launch toward Jachin Due to begin the back half of our Gundam SEED review!  Isaac opens his Blue Cosmos HQ to answer all of Brian's questions.  Does SEED have an acronym problem?  Are coordinators really all that great or were naturals just using Windows 95?  Is Patrick Zala a vengeful chef?  Would you eat Junius 7 rock candy?  Is Lakoose more like Cardi B or Billie Eilish?  Plus, Mwu finally docks with Ramius, Lord Izumi is an idiot, and Rau channels his inner Char with Flay.  Launch the Dominion!  For the preservation of our blue and pure world!

0044: News & Merch: Gundam Build Real, Hathaway, & the Mk V

A new live-action Gundam series appears out of nowhere... it's Gundam Build Real!  Plus, Isaac's archenemy returns in the newest MSG Hathaway trailer (also featuring Xi vs. Penelope action)!  And look at all this cool new(ish?) merchandise - a replica of Char's helmet, the Zeon grunts finally get their articulated due, and the leader of the New Desides takes his rebellion to the Master Grade scale!

0043: Gundam SEED Review Part II

We conclude our review of the first half of Gundam SEED by discussing the characters, the mecha, and whether the show holds up compared to our memories.  Kira is Jesus, Mwu is chill, Flay has no chill, Rau has a magic map, Athrun is a bad boyfriend, and deep down Yzak is just mad he got the boring Gundam.  In a surprise twist, Isaac allies not with Zeon ZAFT but with the Earth Alliance in order to preserve our blue and pure world!  Better send some GOOhNs to correct his attitude!

Can you believe Gundam SEED is almost 20 years old?!  We dust off our phase shift armor to see how the series holds up and to try out the new dub.  We begin our review by tackling the first half's plot.  Is Ramius an unnecessary hostage-taker?  Who is Lakoose and what did she do with Lacus?  Is Kira a bully for beating up some Zoids?  Did George "Definitely Not John" Glenn steal a Jupitris-class from the UC?  For the preservation of our blue and pure world!

0040: Char’s Counterattack Review Part II

We conclude our review of the climactic 1988 film, Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack.  On this episode, Char defeats his own plan, the Alpha Azieru is designed by the Death Star engineers, and Zeon unapologetically uses the color blurple.  We also discuss the mobile suits, our head canon for the cyber newtype enhancement process, and whether the film sticks the landing. 

0039: Char’s Counterattack Review Part I

We review Char's Counterattack - the theatrical film released in 1988 that served as the conclusion to the original Mobile Suit Gundam story.  Featuring the final, knock-down-drag-out duel between Amuro Ray and Char Aznable, this film is densely packed with annoying teenagers, gold bars (the currency of the future!), mystery pasta, newtype space magic, and even a Mexican standoff that would make Tarantino proud.  The DVD sleeve was pretty sweet too.
